Shade thrown towards 13 Reasons Why
There has been so much social media press all over 13 Reasons Why, and not all for the good. There has been so much hatred towards this series and I am not completely sure as to why. This series has brought awareness to bullying, suicide prevention, and high school life style.
I have read in other blogs that people are taking this personally and some people are getting triggered by the scene where they show Hannah Baker killing herself. I completely understand how vulgar that scene was, and for some it might have been too much. The scene was put in to show the deep and depressing thoughts and reality of someone who takes their own life.
If people are in the same situation as Hannah was then maybe this show can show them what their life would be without them around and be a realization that life is better with them in it.
A show should not define someones life. 13 Reasons Why is a great series and I am looking forward to what they are doing for seasons 2. I really enjoy this show, I feel they have showcased high school the way we have all experienced it and they have moved through the horrific parts as best as they could.
